    The Charlotte office of Alston & Bird has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Attorney Hiring Assistant to provide assistance to Attorney Hiring during the Summer Associate program and on campus recruiting process. This position will be approximately 20 hours per week from July 8 - August 30. This position requires a commitment through the indicated time frame. This is a terrific opportunity for a recent college grad with law school aspirations to gain an insiders perspective to the law school recruitiment processes.

    Essential Duties

    • Assist with organizing summer associate events, including RSVPs and correspondence
    • Updating firm documents related to the summer associate program and fall recruiting
    • Assistance with summer associate files
    • Prepare on-campus binders for fall recruiting season
    • Organize on-campus interview schedules
    • Assist with summer associate candidate meeting schedules
    • Draft letters to candidates during fall recruiting season
    • Inputting online applications and updating individual applicant statuses in recruiting database

    Skills Needed to be Successful

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to be flexible and able to meet tight deadlines
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Ability to take a project to completion and work with minimal supervision
    • A desire to work in legal, recruiting, or plans to attend law school
    • Professional image appropriate for greeting candidates and representing the firm 
    • 1 year of previous administrative or office experience, preference for experience in legal
    • High School Diploma
    • College degree or a current student pursuing a BA/BS strongly preferred
